‘Folding it over eight times’

The first guest of the new More than just a vet series is Julian Earl. Julian is a retired vet with a lot to give to the profession and to whoever wants to listen to him. I found Julian an excellent storyteller and I had loads of fun recording with him.

In the first part of the podcast, Julian will talk about his life, growing up and becoming a veterinary surgeon. When I read his introductory email, I thought his timeline was made of the dogs he had as a child, so when the time came to record and edit the podcast, I tried to follow a similar vein.

Julian had endured a variety of experiences during his career, and I am eternally grateful that he shared many of those with me and my listeners. However, and he made it very clear, if you really want to know about Cows in Trees, you’ll have to read his book!

A few years ago, Julian suffered a cycling accident that put a stop to his practising career, however, I can see that this has not stopped him from pursuing his favourite passion: Cycling!

Listen to Julian Earl’s podcast episode now or download it from your preferred podcast platform, and I promise you, you won’t be disappointed!
